Noah Michael McCoy
Welcome Baby Noah!
Friday September 19th, 2008
8:05am - 7lbs 8oz - 19.5 in long
How in the world can anyone have a baby and not believe in GOD? Wow, this tiny (in size) blessing is the most amazing creation ever imaginable! Noah is such a delicate and beautiful little man. Eric and I cannot stop staring at him. Truly, we agree that life can't get any better.
The surgery was something a little too much to handle. It was an out of body experience at the least. I remember when they held Noah up for me to see I thought..."what a cute baby, who's baby is that?" It took a couple hours to feel real.
After 3 nights in the hospital, we are finally settled at home. Noah is healthy. He is eating well and sleeping as well as expected...maybe better. The two tough nights we've had, are nothing to complain about. Who needs sleep anyways? My favorite part of all this excitement is seeing how easily Eric has taken to being a father. He is everything any wife would hope for and every child needs in a DADDY!
We are working on a slide show to post shortly. Thank you everyone for your prayers, cards, flowers, gifts...we are so grateful for our friends and families who have been such an amazing support!

39 Weeks
Today is the very last day of being a couple. We will officially become a family tomorrow morning. We have always considered us a family...especially with our baby Duke McCoy, A.K.A. the cutest Chocolate Lab in the world. Anyways, today is so strange! After weeks of being miserable, tired, in pain and just praying for the baby to hurry and come out, I feel so different today. Now I want to be pregnant for a while longer. I want my baby to stay safe and protected in it's womb. I have fears that the baby isn't "ready" or strong enough to come out. This is all probably normal when you know the exact time you will be delivering.
I just hope Eric and I can relax today and sleep tonight. We plan on seeing a movie together today in attempts to do nothing but relax...maybe take a nap. But I just hate those darn things!
OK...here it goes...
Our next post will be the official delivery update of BABY MCCOY!
We love you all,
Eric, Lindsay and Duke McCoy

38 Week Check Up
This morning starting at about 4:30am I started having really strong contractions. Unfortunately they were not quite regular or even really timable. They seemed to be right on top of one another for an hour, then they tapered off until they finally faded away. Much to my dismay, it wasn't true labor. We went for a walk, then around noon the contractions came back. Just as strong and OH! Soooooo painful! But again, they tapered off and went away. This afternoon we saw Dr. Flora for a check up. She said I am 1 cm dilated and for me to call her when the contractions are regular, timable and close together. So maybe they will not come back for a while...or maybe...we will have a little baby sooner than we thought!
Stay tooned for an update.
Love you all,
Eric and Lindsay

37 Weeks
Today we had our 37 week appointment. Our little angel is growing well, measuring full term, and has a strong heart rate. I have officially gained 23 pounds now, though it feels like 53. Being a little stubborn, baby McCoy is still in a breech position. We have officially scheduled a C-section for September 19th, 2008 since there isn't enough fluid around the baby for us to expect a full turn to the head down position.
